Hey, my friend!
I’m glad you’re swinging by. I’m the guy behind Global Dane.
I was born in Denmark in 1991. My love for traveling started at an early age when I took my first virtual world trip playing the iconic Pink Panther: Passport to Peril game on my Windows 95.
Besides the occasional family trips as a kid where ice cream, french fries, and sea water were indulged in an equal amount. A bit later in life, I found my true source of happiness in exploring unknown lands, turning strangers into friends, and challenging my view of the world.
Everything I create is purely motivated by a passion for traveling (preferably on a lower-end budget).
Join me on my unfiltered travels on YouTube or here on the website.
And if you have something on your mind, don’t hesitate to send me a so-called electronic mail. I’m always up for a chat.
Best wishes

5 Random Facts About Me
1. Fact: My First Solo Trip Was to Miami (2014)
Everyone remembers their first solo trip.
Mine changed my life.
It was also the first time I ever stayed at a hostel.

Besides having one of the best trips of my life, it also taught me that you don’t need anyone else to travel.
After that trip I knew, that being lonely is most often a choice.
It also switched my focus from more materialistic goals to the more simple things in life.
And most of all had the biggest impact on my passion for traveling.
2. Fact: Techno Is My Drug
This might not come as a surprise after the previous point.
Hint: Miami.
I can’t think of any other things that give me more instant euphoria, happiness, and appreciation of life.
NB: And no, drugs aren’t and have never been my thing.

It’s like I was born with two brains with each of their daily energy reserves, and whenever I find myself at a great event, it’s like my secondary Techno brain just takes over from scratch.
My taste in the genre has changed over the years.
But If I had to show one track to explain my taste the best, it’s this one by SHDW & Obscure Shape (not EDM).
3. Fact: I’m a Muay Thai Nerd
I started training in martial arts when I was around 14 years old.
At the time it was Wing Chun (Kung Fu). But not for a long time.
A few years after that I started MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Even though I only trained for around 6 months, it’s still the reason my nose is a bit unaligned today.

But after a break of many years, I found my love for Muay Thai back in 2017, and have been training ever since.
Including training intensively in Thailand for over a year in total on different trips.
If you ever visit Thailand, I highly suggest you try a session. It’s their national sport after all.
TIP: I actually wrote a guide on how to train Muay Thai in Thailand, in case it sounds interesting to you.
4. Fact: I Started My First Business When I Was 18
I’ve been an entrepreneur most of my adult life.
And had several businesses since then. Some succeeded and some failed.
My biggest success is the European E-commerce group called Wallstickerland.

We managed to build a team of 11 employees at one time, and become market leaders in our industry in Scandinavia.
Before I sold my shares back in 2018, we managed to reach over 60.000 customers from all over Europe.
5. Fact: I Used to Be Overweight
Long story short; at my highest, I weighed 257 lbs/116,4 kg.
At my lowest, I weighed around 196 lbs/89 kg.
Which is equal to a total weight loss of 60 lbs/27,4 kg.

I know the sign is in the way.
But unfortunately, I don’t have any better before photos to compare with.
Blame my high-level ninja skills for avoiding cameras as much as possible (I let you guess why).
Hello Sillas,
I am writing you with a idea to use agency services as an organiser and guide in our first visit of Thailand.
We are planning to arrive to Thailand in the middle of July and stay for there for 10-14 days.
Me / father and two kids 12 and 14 years we are fan of sports so we would like to visit and train traditional sports: badminton, ping-pong, Muai-Thai,..
Beside sport activities if possible we would like to visit some sightseeing’s.
Please inform me if you know any good and reliabl agency which can offer us such service.
For additional information regarding my inquiry please contact me.

Hi Luka,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your travel plans with me! Thailand is an amazing country and happens to be my personal favorite.
While I, unfortunately, don’t have a specific agency to recommend, I suggest searching for individual places that offer the things you’re interested in. Based on my own experience training Muay Thai in Thailand, I can add that most gyms you’ll find online are foreigner-friendly and have classes in English.
I can also recommend making time to rest and relax in between your activities, as there are many other things to do and see in the country, such as beautiful temples, atmospheric markets, or full/half-day trips to stunning nature. You can also check out Getyourguide.com for inspiration.
I hope this helps and that you and your kids have an amazing trip!
Best regards,
Sillas
